Café Blondie is Shilpa Shetty's Bandra brunch spot — and on a Sunday, the waiting line is longer than the menu.
Anisha arrived in red carpet energy, only to be told there was a 30-to-45-minute wait. Then, almost immediately, a table opened up — that was quick. The space itself has the kind of Instagrammable look that makes you want to photograph your food before you eat it, and Anisha ordered five dishes plus a mocktail for the full Sunday brunch experience. The food made a complete Baazigaar move: a little risky, a little rewarding.
The Watermelon Basil Refresher Mocktail was basically watermelon saying hi and basil saying hello — refreshing and clean, nothing earth-shattering but exactly what you want on a Sunday. 8/10. The Avocado Toast with Feta was Instagrammable but the flavour was on vacation — Anisha was doing all the work and the toast forgot to bring its own personality. Would skip next time. 6/10. The Berry Skillet was bold, simple, tasty, satisfying, but felt more like a full meal than a dessert. 7/10. The Avocado Masala Dosa was the revelation — avo and dosa vibing together, crispy outside, spicy inside, peanut chutney on fire. Nobody knew avocado and dosa could work like this. 8.5/10. The Truffle Mushroom with Focaccia delivered fluffy bread on the outside and a creamy truffle party inside — simple, comforting, and a complete bomb. 8/10. Finally the Brownie Croissant: when brownie met croissant, it turned out the meeting could have been an email. Fluffy look, not-so-fluffy bite, sauce made it feel a little soggy. 7.5/10.
₹2,620 for six items in total. For a Bandra Sunday brunch at a celebrity spot, that's a reasonable spend — especially if you order the right things.
Verdict: Café Blondie does Sunday brunch with enough hits to make the trip worthwhile, but order carefully — the menu has some high highs and some lazy lows. The Masala Dosa alone is worth the visit.
