Mercii

Mercii in Santacruz is Arpita Khan's restaurant — Salman Khan's sister — and the food has some serious high points that unfortunately get overshadowed by one truly catastrophic ramen and some questionable service.

Anisha dressed like a black disco ball channelling full Bollywood glamour for the occasion. The restaurant requires a long walk to find (it really is tucked away), but the space itself has an amazing feel once you're inside. The trouble started when Anisha tried to move seats for better filming light — the sole waiter immediately bounced on her and loudly directed her back to her table, causing a scene in a completely empty restaurant. Anisha chose peace and continued ordering anyway.

What Anisha Ordered

The Mint and Berry Mash Mocktail was very cute with berries on a toothpick, nice and fizzy — slightly too sweet but the mint and berry mix was refreshing overall. 8/10. The Citrus Grove Salad had cute presentation but the taste was nothing crazy — basically a salad that got dressed up with no reason to dress up. Life continues without it. 7/10. The Fury Spice Roll had a pretty presentation like a vegetarian sushi, but the spice was overpowering everything else, including the mango and beetroot inside. 7.5/10. Then came the low point: the Shii and Ramen. The noodles were so overcooked, the soup was tasteless, the veggies tried their best but couldn't save it. This is how you break a ramen lover's heart. A shocking 3/10. The dessert Nora and Bloom tried to make up for it with cute pearl presentation and chocolate cake — it was okay, basically chocolate cake with flecks. 7.5/10.

The Bill

₹1,784 for five items total — ₹1,299 for a lunch special plus ₹400 for a mocktail. The lunch special offers half portions at a discount, which is reasonable value, but the overall experience needed to be more polished for the price to feel justified.

Verdict: A good deal feels best when the experience matches it — and at Mercii, the experience didn't quite keep up. The ramen alone was enough to knock points off. Fix the service, fix the noodles, and there's a solid restaurant underneath.
