Scarlett House is Malaika Arora's Bandra restaurant — and while the food has some serious misses, the gluten-free chocolate cake might be the single best dessert in this entire series.
Anisha dressed for drama in bold stripes, because at Malaika Arora's restaurant, you dress for the occasion. The space is on the second floor in Bandra, the menus are many (Anisha joked she came to eat, not to clear an entrance exam), and the vibe is chic and effortful. A lovely moment at the end: the Scarlett House team gifted her the dessert even after Anisha insisted on paying — a sweet gesture she genuinely appreciated.
The Elderflower Mocktail showed up with actual elderflower flavour but was a little too sweet — it needed to ease off the sugar. Not mad about it though. 8/10. The Paneer Techa finally looked like Shrek's dice collection, and the taste was exactly what you'd expect: spicy. Obviously the flavour was fiery, and if you're a spice fan, this one's for you. 7.5/10. The Chaat Olé Olé gave Mumbai street food a French makeover — bhindi and burrata in chaat is a weird idea that takes a second to adjust to, then you're completely vibing. Bold move, solid respect. 8.5/10. The Caramelised Onion Pasta had sauce doing too much, pasta a bit soft, and tasted more chilli flakes than onion. At least no onion breath issues. 6/10. The Black Truffle Risotto: the truffle must have called in sick today. Too saucy, showed up but forgot to bring its A-game. Hit and miss, mostly miss. 5/10. And then — the Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake: where has this been all of Anisha's life? So chocolatey it should be illegal. Melts instantly, tastes like dreams. She would move into this cake if rent wasn't an issue. 9/10.
₹4,250 for five items total (the dessert was gifted by the restaurant). For Bandra celebrity dining, the pricing is in line — but the food quality needs to be more consistent.
Verdict: Scarlett House has real highs and some genuine lows — but that gluten-free chocolate cake alone might justify the trip. Come for dessert first, then decide about the rest.
